Helping women to resolve financial, bureaucratic and legal matters to ease their economic situation.
Carried out by the chief social worker and her team, together with EFRAT's volunteers, this project involves an advocacy role. EFRAT provides women with advice regarding how they can exercise their rights, which may include supporting their access to public housing projects, banks etc.
This service is mainly carried out through telephone consultation, providing reassurance to help reduce a woman's anxiety around understanding her rights. The aim is to help women to become more informed and increase their awareness of what they can expect when visiting government offices.
Women are supported with filling out paperwork when required. EFRAT's team signposts a woman to relevant offices and links her to volunteer lawyers where appropriate.
